This is an example of a room being painted using different shades of pink to create the desired effect.  Here we find a gypsum border to separate the walls from the ceiling.  This is used to create an effect, also if the ceiling is not 100% level it also helps to get a perfectly straight line between wall and ceiling, especially if these were to be done in different colours, not this case.

This is an example of an internal yard of an old house of character plastered and painted in brilliant white.  This could create a great effect with the old stone on the inside.
