1Q. What do I have to do to get a quote for the works I need?
1A. Just contact Sphinx Creations on the telephone numbers below, or send an e-mail with your details and we’ll get back to you. Our person responsible for quotes will contact you ASAP to set up an appointment to come and see the works required, and a quotation will be drawn up from there and sent via post, or e-mail. In most cases, it is recommended that another appointment is set so the quotation can be explained item by item. ^ top
2Q. Could your prices be more expensive than others?
2A. Due to the fact that Sphinx Creations have their own workforce and that the bulk of the basic works are executed directly by Sphinx workmen, prices are competitive and are the going rates on the market. However, quality of work – guaranteed at Sphinx – materials used, time required to do a good job and other factors must be kept in mind when analysing a quote. It is, therefore, recommended that you get in contact with a representative of Sphinx to explain it to you in detail. Once you understand exactly what is being quoted, you can compare prices. You must also keep in mind that Sphinx Creations never sacrifices quality for price. ^ top
3Q. Will the price quoted be exactly the same as the final price once the project is complete?
3A. This depends solely on the client. If you can identify EXACTLY what works need to be done at the quotation stage, the chances are the final price will remain the same as the quoted price. However, through experience, this is not usually the case as items are often added during the works, and changes made by the client, or involved third parties. Whatever the case, any additions to the final price can be accounted for and explained and, usually, before they are carried out, the client is advised about the extra charges, and a new quote is issued and signed. The best person to answer this question is, therefore, the client himself. ^ top
4Q. Am I covered by some form of agreement?
4A. Yes, definitely. Once the quote stage is concluded and everything is agreed on, Sphinx Creations have a basic agreement form, which is signed by both parties. This agreement includes the time period for the completion of the job and other clauses both parties would have agreed on. The agreement form usually varies from one client to another and is tailor-made to suit their individual needs and projects. ^ top
5Q. Are the products and workmen ship guaranteed?
5A. Workmanship is always guaranteed at Sphinx, but products are not given a guarantee directly from our company. Having said that, usually, products suggested by Sphinx Creations come with a guarantee from the supplier, but this is not a rule. ^ top
6Q. How long will my project take to be completed?
6A. After a Sphinx Creations representative sees the works that need to be done on site,
and the quotations are estimated, a finishing date is deduced. Usually, when quotes are submitted, the day of commencement and termination of the job are also submitted. ^ top
7Q. Can Sphinx Creations suggest an architect, or a designer?
7A. Yes, Sphinx Creations work hand in hand with various architects and designers. Usually, if clients need either, an initial meeting is set up between them and the architect/designer, following which the client usually deals directly with the latter. ^ top
8Q. Can I be quoted for my works over the Internet?
8A. It is not a policy of Sphinx Creations to give prices before actually meeting the client in person. However, in certain situations, basic rates may be given. Each project varies from the other, so to give more precise quotes, a site visit would be necessary. If the site does not exist – for example, the building still has to be erected – we can work off the plan. But again, preferably, a meeting is held with the clients to see what they have in mind. ^ top
9Q. Can I be given a quote immediately on our first site visit?
9A. This depends on the works that need to be quoted. Usually, the representative of Sphinx Creations would need to calculate the quotes before a price is given. Again, it is not a policy of Sphinx to just shoot out a price, without looking into the project as a whole.
10Q. Would it be possible to set a site meeting after working hours, or at the weekend?
10A. Yes, a representative of Sphinx is usually always available to meet a client after working hours, or at weekends. ^ top
11Q. Will I have somebody working on site every day from when works begin?
11A. When Sphinx Creations give an estimated termination day, there is usually some leeway calculated so as not to disappoint the clients. However, it is not a rule that there would be someone on the project every single day. This depends on what would be agreed on with the client. What is for sure is that all projects are finished within the established termination date unless delays occur as a result of third parties involved, or situations that are not in Sphinx’s control. ^ top
12Q. Who do I report to if I have any queries or questions while works are happening?12A. A project manager is appointed for every project, therefore the only person the client needs to question is the appointed project manager who usually is the same person who the client dealt with from the start. ^ top
13Q. Do I need to pay a deposit when works are confirmed?
13A. Yes once all has been agreed upon and the works are confirmed it’s a policy of Sphinx to ask for a deposit to book the said project. This deposit varies from one job to another and therefore there is no fixed rate at which the deposit is calculated, however this will be established with the client before any agreements are signed. ^ top
